The soft blue shades of larimar remind me of the sea when it is perfectly calm. The surface is still, while beneath it life continues to move and change.
I made the Peace ring by hand from sterling silver 925. I shaped the surface of the silver with fire and brought out its irregular texture with a light patina. The darker, rawer tone of the silver contrasts with the smooth, pale blue larimar from the Dominican Republic.
I named it Peace because, to me, peace is not the absence of noise or an escape from life. It is the ability to remain centred even when everything around me is shifting. That is the meaning I gave it while creating it, but the person who chooses it may recognise something entirely their own within it.
The open design allows for size adjustment.
Handmade in Dubrovnik. Only one exists.
