This necklace from the Dubrovnik Legends collection carries a story of courage, loyalty and historical memory, inspired by the enduring legend of King Richard the Lionheart.

On his return from the Third Crusade, Richard was caught in a violent storm that threatened to destroy his ship. In a moment of surrender, he made a vow: if he survived, he would build a church on the first land he reached.
The storm calmed, and he found refuge on the shores of Lokrum.

He kept his promise. At the urging of the citizens of Dubrovnik, the church was built within the city walls, leaving a permanent mark on the city’s history and spirit.
