During the making process, I heated the silver almost to its melting point and allowed its surface to shift and transform. This created an irregular texture that can never be completely repeated, further defined by a dark patina.
Set within the raw structure of the silver is a piece of amber, like a fragment of sunlight captured in metal. Its warm honey colour creates a striking contrast with the darker surface of the silver.
I named it Solaris because I see in it a meeting of fire and the warmth of the sun. To me, it represents a kind of strength that does not need to be loud or hard. A strength that is calm, warm and steady.
The open design allows for size adjustment.
